Laura specializes in portraiture and wedding photography. She has had a passion for taking photographs for nearly her entire life. From angering her mother for wanting to develop so many disposable cameras or film as a child to spending her small life savings at 19 to buy a digital SLR camera that she used up until June 2015, she has continued her pursuit of art. She has since moved on to a much better camera, thankful to all of her clients.

Her camera is her love but she paints, she draws, and she just creates in general. She has taken photos for a huge portion of the Kankakee County population and other wonderful Illinois cities.

​

She graduated with a degree in Spanish and a minor in Latin American studies from Illinois State University with studies also in K-12 education. During her studies she squeezed in as many art classes as her schedule would allow because she couldn't go without it.

​

She has always created in some form or another but nothing like what gets trapped in her camera. Her camera is lugged around with her everywhere she goes - she lived in Spain for 5 months and got to bring 2 suitcases to live out of and one was just filled with her laptop and camera with equipment. Not even space limits could stop her wanting to photograph her life and the people in it.

In between shoots, commissioning artwork, or spending time with family, she still likes to grab her camera, hop in the car, and venture off to somewhere new to take photographs of whatever she finds.
